To have inspiration and be inspired is easy, but to be inspirational by inspiring others takes a lot of dedication.
Inspiration.
The dictionary defines inspiration as: “the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something (esp creative)”. Inspiration can be challenging to understand and describe because what inspires one person may not have any relevance for another. Words that conjure up an image of inspiration for me are motivation, stimulation & creation.
Inspired.
When you are inspired, the dictionary states that: “mentally you are stimulated to do or feel something”. Above all, an inspired person often feels compelled to be different and do better than they currently are.
Who inspires you? Is it someone famous or a member of your family, a colleague or friend? What is it about that person that you admire?
What attracts you to them? Which attributes of theirs would you like to adopt?
Finally, why?
Inspiring.
Similar to being inspired, an inspiring person, is “someone with the urge or ability to do or feel something creative.” Most of them usually uplift and encourage others.
So how do we become inspiring? By being a positive role model and committed to a cause that we love. Your fans automatically elevate you when they tell their network that they find you inspiring.
Inspiring people need an abundance of energy to fulfil their expectations and those of their followers. A healthy lifestyle is essential for keeping the batteries of an inspiring person charged.
Therefore, if you travel to promote your inspiring idea/business, then a schedule, including all of these is paramount. A good routine will also help you to feel confident and maintain a high level of self-esteem.
Inspirational.
Specific characteristics and traits common to inspirational people.
They are usually great story-tellers with a vision to share.
Have you read any great autobiographies recently, if not, whose would you choose to read? And Why?
Inspirational people don’t just talk about what is important to them; they act upon it. They find a way to overcome every obstacle.
These individuals are innovative and forward-thinking. They dedicate their lives to their cause, for the better of everyone, not just themselves. A person can genuinely be admired by many because they are authentic and congruent.
You may be wondering what you can do to be more inspirational?
Start by keeping a notepad around to jot down new ideas when they come into your head. Write the things about yourself that you believe are already inspirational.
Capture moments that cause a change in you, for example: seeing someone help a blind person across the road may make you want to be more caring. Hearing about a charity fun run might inspire you to be more generous, supporting a local business owner may bring unexpected work your way.
Listening to an inspiring presentation may cause you to follow in the footsteps of the speaker. Make a note of your emotions when you realize that someone or something inspires you. If you have been inspired recently or done something inspiring, please share below, I’d love to hear from you.

This may sound silly but- I had been struggling with major depression in recent years b/c of events that lead my self esteem to flunk to an all time low. I started doubting myself more than ever in my life. Anything good I had ever thought about myself was in question and the conclusion wasn’t going to be very beneficial to my life. My purpose was void. There was an emptiness in me and hope was almost impossible for so long. My perspective of people and the world had changed to a great darkness. Everything was in question. I couldn’t trust. My walls were high. Then for some reason I started listening to Michael Jackson in different interviews. The more I seen, the more I wanted to watch. Then I got into his music. I seen such a misunderstood guy. Someone who was authentic and genuinely caring in his heart. I seen good in the world again. I seen that it was ok to be sensitive. He was a highly sensitive person but so faithful to his cause. So dedicated. And people liked him. ALOT of people. He was judged harshly for so many things as all Famous people are sometimes but that’s gotta be extra hard for a HSP. Even with accusations that he was a pedophile, he stayed faithful to what he believed in. He genuinely wanted to help kids. He genuinely wanted to heal the world. And I’m sure in doing this he was healing himself too. And so I seen it was ok to be this way and It was still in important. I felt alive again. I felt renewed, my spirits lifted. I got out and started to get things done. I have things I want to do and the motivation to do it. And I know this feeling won’t stay forever but his work and who he was touched me deeply. Tremendous gratitude for his gifts he had to share
I help two persons who were on the street. I always do so but I feel bless in my heart because I love to give and help where I can.

In essence, being inspired and being an inspiration are intertwined forces that have the power to transform lives, spark creativity, and create a ripple effect of positivity and growth. An experience that beautifully illustrates this was when a colleague of mine went out of her way to support a struggling team member during a challenging project. Her unwavering positivity, dedication, and belief in the team’s potential not only turned the project around but also lifted everyone’s spirits and renewed their passion for their work.
